The National Montford Point Marine Association Inc. Maryland Chapter #17 awards internships to high school Juniors, Seniors and/or students enrolled/attending higher institutions. The purpose of the Association is to carry out programs designed to boost the morale of Service man and women, provide assistance to veterans especially disabled veterans, aiding service personnel and their transition to civilian life, and to support programs that up-lift the quality of life in our communities.

Interns are a critical part of our chapter’s success. Every internship combines opportunity to educate, engage and explore. The internship duration is part-time for 6 months to 1 year. We seek students who are energetic, motivated, have an interest in learning about military history, looking to earn community service hours and make a difference in the lives of veterans as well as fellow students.

An Intern must be able to work with little to no supervision, be self-paced and responsible/ responsive. We look forward to you becoming a part of our Legacy.

 

Internship Application

NOte:

Intern must be in attendance at all in person meetings that take place at the American Legion Post #263 located at 151 Winters Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228 and is mandatory on the 2nd Saturday of every month at 11am (for approximately 2 hrs), attendance at events are on a as scheduled basis and all other work is conducted via phone meetings, email communication and cloud-based video conferencing (i.e. Zoom) at future scheduled dates/times.
